Exploring the Monasteries and Mountainous Views in the Kakheti Region

We spent one very long and fun day driving through Kakheti Province, which is the easternmost province in Georgia. The area is filled with churches, of course, and random people ready to feed us their wine. Kakheti also provided gorgeous views of the Caucasus Mountains from every town, road, and church. It was by far the most beautiful province we explored! It being late November, there was little to no greenery in our views, so it would be really great to go back in a different season sometime and experience this corner of the country in color.
The group ready to tour around. FC Dinamo is the name of the Georgian soccer team.
Listen to their theme song.
First stop at Ujarma Fortress - 9am and the security guard at the Ujarma Fortress
ran over to have us try his wine instead of selling us tickets.
